Youth Zero Fare Pass Communication
In partnership with Cherriots, the City of Salem, and the City of Keizer our community offers the Youth Zero Pass, which allows children 0-18 to ride Cherriots Local, Regional and Lift buses at no-cost to them. Currently, no identification is needed for youth aged 0-18 to access the Youth Zero Pass program. Starting October 1, 2024, all youth in grades 8-12 will be required to scan a QR code, which will be placed on their student identification cards, to board Cherriots buses. This new measure is designed to streamline the boarding process and ensure that our community utilizes the Youth Zero Pass program effectively. Packets will be delivered to schools by next week with QR stickers for ID cards, and the attached flyer.
